Developed by Dr Garry McDowell,  an award winning and highly motivated University Reader, specialising in Clinical Biochemistry. He has a strong track record in developing and leading research in the public sector. My clinical expertise is in diagnostic clinical biochemistry, in particular endocrinology, with internationally recognised research expertise in cardiology and heart failure focusing on the development and clinical validation of biomarkers.

As an academic, his objective is to arouse academic and clinical curiosity in future generations of clinicians and scientists to immerse themselves in evolving educational and research experiences.
